Welcome to our farm! We are deep in the piney woods of East Texas and couldn't be happier. After years of living in suburbia, we decided we wanted our family to live a bit simpler; more like we grew up. After many months of searching, we
found the place and started thinking about what we wanted to do out here. We talked about and researched all kinds of things from bamboo to alpaca but nothing spoke to us...until we met our first mini Herefords and mini farm family. That
was it and we have never looked back (well, we have but only to laugh at ourselves or to be proud of all we have accomplished so far).
We grew up 'small town' and loved animals but neither of us handled farm animals. We visited our first mini farm in 2019, asked a million questions, met an absolutely lovely bull and purchased his bull calf as the start of our herd. He was not
quite ready to come home yet so we started looking for some ladies and found 2 lovely sisters who allowed us to learn and grow with them. We now have 20 head and growing. We had/have Miniature Herefords (registered and not), British
Whites, Lowlines, Black Baldies, Highland mixes (also chickens, ducks, horses, guinea pigs, horses, dogs/puppies, barn cats and who knows what else to come). We've learned and laughed a lot. How hard could it be loading a cow into a
trailer?? I smile thinking about this because it's easy peasy now but we had a yard cow the 1st time since it was dark and she was real quick. I cannot imagine doing this with a full sized cow (after owning 2 who were delivered to us). On the
other hand, waiting to see what your latest calf will look like it similar to watching paint dry...but takes longer. It's so exciting! It's all just fun and good for the soul.
If you're new to the idea, come see what you think. That's the best advice I can give based on our experience. We love these minis and really believe they are the only choice! Check out all of our reasons for choosing minis on our 'Why Mini
Cows' page. There really is a lot to appreciate.
If you already have minis and are looking for something in particular, reach out. The mini cow network is wonderful and we work with many other great farms so no matter what you're looking for, or the time of year, we will help you find what
you're looking for.
We love to share our passion for mini's, so feel free to schedule a visit to the ranch. Be warned, these cuties will steal your heart!
